Describe your décor style and inspiration.
My decor style is minimal Scandinavian. I love neutral and light colors as well light wood. I like clean and modern lines, but also love to incorporate some old heirlooms that have been passed down from generation to generation and flea markets finds.
When designing your home, what elements were most important for you to to incorporate?
I wanted to create a home that was airy and open, but still comfortable and cozy. We love our big windows, and it was really important to take the surrounding nature into account when designing the interior.
What is your favorite room and why?
My favorite room has to be our living room. I just love the big windows with the stunning views of the nearby fields and forests. It is also fun to watch the scenery change with the seasons; I could just stare endlessly at the view.
What was the hardest part when creating your home?
The hardest part was maybe letting go of some of my ideas, because I had too many ideas and you can't incorporate all of them in one house!
What’s your Tivoli Audio product of choice and why?
My choice Tivoli product is the SPHERA. The design is so beautiful, and it blends perfectly in our decor. In addition, the SPHERA is really light and easy to move from room to room and outside. In the summer, the SPHERA was an essential part of our terrace parties.
Any tips for someone currently working on styling their home?
Think about what colors and shapes go together and what kind of ambiance you want to create. You can find lots of inspiration for examples on Instagram and interior magazines. But at the end of the day, it's your home, so just follow your heart and your own taste.
Tell us about the sauna in your home, is it true that saunas are as common in Finland as a second bathroom?
Yes, in Finland there are probably more saunas than anywhere else, almost every house and bigger apartments have a sauna! We have two. It is a big part of our culture and it was invented originally in Finland.
What could we find playing on your Tivoli SPHERA if we were to come and visit?
Something jazzy and soothing, like Eva Cassidy.
